Wade (illness) said he's optimistic that he'll be able to play against Detroit on Saturday, Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post reports. "I moved around a little today and didn't feel awful," Wade said. "I'm closer than I thought."

Analysis:

Wade went down with a knee injury Thursday against the Cavaliers and did not return to the game. He deemed himself questionable, and while that designation remains, it appears he has a better chance to play than initially anticipated. If Wade is ultimately held out, Mario Chalmers will likely get the start at shooting guard.
