Grizzlies' Allen out again Friday against Thunder

Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

A hamstring injury will sideline Memphis Grizzlies swingman Tony Allen for the third consecutive game Friday.

Allen hurt his left hamstring one week ago against the Golden State Warriors and hasn't played since. The Grizzlies haven't offered much more about the injury, other than coach Dave Joerger saying there's no timetable for Allen's return.

The Grizzlies are in a fight for the Southwest Division title and the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference with the Houston Rockets with seven games left in the regular season. Friday brings a meeting with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Allen, the 33-year-old veteran defensive standout, is averaging 8.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and two steals a game this season.
