The Miami Heat sustained two losses Thursday.

First, the Cleveland Cavaliers dropped the Heat by a score of 114-88. In the process, the Heat also lost Dwyane Wade to a knee bruise after he lost his footing in the first half.

Wade finished with seven points and two rebounds in 13 minutes played before exiting. After the game he explained the injury.

"I hit the inside of my knee on the court," Wade said. "That's all I feel right now. I don't know what I'm going to wake up with, but right now I just feel it on the inside of my knee."

Wade also took to Instagram giving Heat fans hope he will return during the current road trip.

As for the game itself, the Cavaliers' high-powered offense was at it again, shooting a blistering 50 percent from the field, which included 15 3-pointers.

With Kevin Love sitting out due to a back injury, the combination of Kyrie Irving and LeBron James led the way, scoring 23 points apiece. They also combined for 12 assists, nine rebounds, five steals and three blocks to round out the boxscore.

More than anything, it was the Heat's lackluster defense that did them in. Stopping the Cavaliers is a near-impossible task, but Cleveland's ball handlers were able to generate dribble penetration at will, which led to open jump shots after the Heat collapsed to cover the paint.

Luol Deng and Hassan Whiteside led the way for the Heat, who struggled to generate offense without Wade in the second half. Deng finished with 17 points while Whiteside added 17 points and eight rebounds.

The loss drops the Heat behind the Boston Celtics for the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference.
