T-Wolves remain severely shorthanded Wednesday vs. Raptors

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

The Minnesota Timberwolves have gotten used to playing with a severely shorthanded roster, and Wednesday's game against the Toronto Raptors will be no different.

Ricky Rubio, Kevin Garnett and Kevin Martin will all be sidelined once again for Wednesday's contest.

Rubio, who's only played 22 games this season, will sit an eighth straight game with an ankle injury, while Garnett remains sidelined with knee soreness that has limited him to just five games since being acquired by the T-Wolves at the trade deadline.

Martin is out for a sixth consecutive game due to a hamstring injury.

Rubio, Garnett and Martin will join Gorgui Dieng (concussion) and Gary Neal (ankle) on the shelf.

Nikola Pekovic, meanwhile, was shut down for the remainder of the season earlier this week with an ankle injury of his own.

The 16-58 Timberwolves sit dead last in the Western Conference and second from the bottom in the overall standings.
