VIDEO: Clarkson hits OT winner to give Lakers unfortunate win over 76ers

When two great teams square off in an overtime thriller, it's often said that it's a shame somebody has to lose.

When the Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers go to overtime in 2015, it's a shame that one of them has to win.

In a key late-season contest between two cellar-dwelling teams, Jordan Clarkson saved the 13,501 in attendance from another five minutes of tank-tastic basketball with this game-winning bucket off a fine Wayne Ellington pass.

Jordan Clarkson game winner. Lakers beat 76ers.

Unfortunately for the Lakers, the win moved them four games ahead of the Sixers in the overall standings - a loss would have moved Philly within two - and brought them only one loss behind Orlando for the fifth-worst record in the league.

While their place in the bottom five seems all but certain, any rise in the standings and decrease in lottery balls is concerning for the Lakers, who will relinquish their first-round draft pick - to the Sixers of all teams - if it falls outside the top-five.
