Rockets' Jones making progress in comeback, could return next week

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Little by little, the Houston Rockets are starting to return to health.

After being released from hospital last weekend, Rockets power forward Terrence Jones is making significant progress in his bid to overcome a collapsed lung and if all goes well, Jones said he could return next week.

Jones has suffered through an injury-plagued campaign. Between a nerve issue in his leg and his latest injury, Jones has appeared in just 25 games for the Rockets this season.

However, the 23-year-old has been effective while he has played. Jones is averaging 12.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game. He's an athletic big who can finish in traffic and reasonably shoot the 3-ball.
