Kevin Durant: (Foot) Needs Another Surgery

Durant (foot) will undergo another surgery on his foot and will miss the rest of the 2014-15 season, Royce Young of ESPN reports.

Analysis:

Durant, who has been rehabbing the foot for the last several weeks, will undergo a bone graft procedure after doctors determined his initial Jones fracture was showing signs of "regression." The surgery will keep Durant out for 4-to-6 months, and he's not expected to return to basketball activities until late in the summer. That puts his status for the start of the 2015-16 season in jeopardy, depending upon how smoothly his rehabilitation goes. Obviously, this is devastating news for the Thunder, who currently hold the eighth seed in the Western Conference. Look for Russell Westbrook to continue his aggressive play, as this news only confirms that he'll be without his co-star for the duration of the season.
