Heat's Whiteside out Friday, Wade will play

The Miami Heat will have to make due against the Eastern Conference-leading Atlanta Hawks on Friday withou one of their starters.

Center Hassan Whiteside has been ruled out for a second consecutive game after suffering a hand laceration on Tuesday that required 10 stitches.

Dwyane Wade, who also missed Wednesday's game against the Boston Celtics due to swelling in his left knee, will play.

Chris Andersen will also miss the game due to a calf injury.

The Heat, who are already without Chris Bosh for the remainder of the season (and Josh McRoberts), enter the weekend seventh in the East, 2.5 games clear of ninth-place Indiana.
