(SportsNetwork.com) - The San Antonio Spurs hope to have some steam left after their recent blowout win and will resume a three-game homestand Friday versus the Southwest-rival Dallas Mavericks.
The Spurs crushed Russell Westbrook and the hard-charging Oklahoma City Thunder, 130-91, Wednesday night at the AT&T Center.
Tony Parker had 21 points, six assists and six rebounds, Boris Diaw finished with 19 and Tim Duncan scored 16 points for the Spurs, who shot 58 percent from the floor, had a 50-36 rebounding advantage and put the game away with a 30-17 scoring margin in the fourth quarter.
"It was a tough night, all the way around," Thunder coach Scott Brooks said. "Give them credit, they played at a high level... This is definitely not a night to remember."
OKC was outscored 56-40 in the paint.
San Antonio won for the 11th time in the last 14 games and is unbeaten in the last three in the Alamo City. It is 27-8 at home and will wrap up the stay Sunday versus another Western Conference power, the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Spurs are sixth in the West standings - a half-game ahead of Dallas - and sit just three games behind Houston for the No. 3 spot.
Dallas will play its next three games on the road against San Antonio, Indiana and Oklahoma City, and is 20-15 away from Big D.
The Mavericks recently defeated San Antonio, 101-94, on Tuesday and were led by Monta Ellis' 38 points on 16-of-27 shooting. Dirk Nowitzki scored 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, while Chandler Parsons also netted 15 points.
San Antonio had a 29-17 lead after the first quarter, waking up Ellis and the Mavericks, who made 48.3 percent from the floor to win for the fifth time in the last eight tries.
"We started out well, but after that it was the Mr. Ellis show," said Spurs coach Gregg Popovich. "We didn't contain him and he went off. That was really the ball game."
The Mavs are third in the NBA in scoring with 104.6 ppg and the Spurs aren't too far behind with a 102.8 ppg clip.
Dallas is 2-1 against San Antonio this season and has lost its last eight regular-season trips to the Alamo City.
