Jefferson (knee) will play Wednesday against the Nets, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports. He had fluid drained from his knee, but the team doesn't plan on having a minutes restriction for Jefferson.

Analysis:

Head coach Steve Clifford noted that he expects Jefferson's knee injury to be an issue for the rest of the season. This makes for a tricky fantasy situation, as Jefferson is one of the best low post scorers in the NBA, but he struggled to play through the ailment Monday, posting just three points and five rebounds. Daily players should probably avoid Jefferson until his price comes down a bit, and season long users could swap him out if there's a viable replacement, but it's likely he will have to stick in lineups. Jefferson only played 20 minutes in the Hornets' last game, so regardless of whether or not there's a minutes restriction, Jefferson may not be able to tough it out some nights, making him a dubious option in daily games.
