Howard (knee) will likely play in Wednesday's game against the Pelicans, if he feels alright at Tuesday's practice, Jenny Dial Creech of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Analysis:

Howard is honing in on a return, but coach Kevin McHale said the center will initially be limited to about 20 minutes per game and won't play both contests in back-to-backs. It would be unwise to expect anything close to Howard's typical production over the final few weeks of the season, with the Rockets clearly more focused on getting him ready for the playoffs.
