Knicks' Calderon receives PRP treatment on ailing Achilles

Mark Konezny / USA TODAY Sports

Joe Calderon has likely played his last game of the season.

The New York Knicks' veteran point guard received platelet-rich plasma treatment Monday on his sore left Achilles tendon and will be re-evaluated in 10-14 days.

Monday's contest against the Memphis Grizzlies will mark the 15th consecutive game he's missed.

Calderon, in his first season in New York, has struggled to perform and stay on the court. He missed the Knicks' first 13 games with a calf strain and is shooting a career-low 41.5 percent from the field.

The 33-year-old has started all 42 games he's played, averaging 9.1 points, 4.7 assists and three rebounds in 30.2 minutes.

Calderon is owed over $15 million for the next two seasons.
