Timberwolves' Rubio, Garnett, Pekovic and Neal remain out

With three back-to-backs in eight days, it shouldn't really come as a surprise the Minnesota Timberwolves are sitting out several players on Monday.

Ricky Rubio will be on the sidelines against the Utah Jazz on Monday. Rubio, who is set to miss his third straight game, has missed four of the past five to rest the troublesome left ankle that cost him 41 contests earlier this season.

Kevin Garnett is also out Monday. The veteran power forward will miss his ninth consecutive game with knee soreness.

Center Nikola Pekovic and shooting guard Gary Neal will join them on the sidelines. Pekovic hasn't played since March 11 due to an ankle issue and Neal has missed four of five games with a bruised hand.

In Rubio's only action in the past week, he scored two points and dished out eight assists in a loss to the Toronto Raptors.
