Pelicans' Gordon chips tooth in fall against Clippers

Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

New Orleans Pelicans guard Eric Gordon may want to start wearing a mouth guard.

Gordon chipped one of his front teeth on the hardwood when he tripped over Matt Barnes during New Orleans' 107-100 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.

Bad puns about the Pelicans - losers of four of five - being toothless aside, Gordon pointed out on Instagram afterwards that it wasn't the first time he's chipped a tooth playing ball.

The seventh-year Indiana product has had some tough luck with more serious injuries in the past, so here's to hoping he takes better care of himself dentally.
