Kings' Cousins returns Sunday after 2-game absence

Ed Szczepanski / USA TODAY Sports

The Sacramento Kings will have their big man back in the middle when they host the Washington Wizards on Sunday.

After missing the last two games with a right calf strain, DeMarcus Cousins is set to return for Sunday's game.

Rudy Gay, recently recovered from a patellar tendon strain, will also play, making this the first time in five games the pair will suit up together. Gay was sidelined with the injury when the Kings took on the Wizards last Saturday, when they fell 113-97.

Cousins is averaging career-highs in points (23.7), rebounds (12.3), assists (3.3) and blocks (1.6), and the Kings are just 3-13 this season when he doesn't play. That third win came on Friday, when they toppled the Charlotte Hornets
