VIDEO: LeBron gets beat, recovers in time to destroy layup attempt

Ron Schwane / USA TODAY Sports

It's no secret that LeBron James has an on/off switch; he himself has talked about deactivating his "chill mode."

His focus can slip in and out, particularly at the defensive end, but when he's engaged, he's the most destructive force in basketball, capable of making up lost space in a blink.

The good and bad were both on display on one play in the third quarter against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday. LeBron lazily snaked his way around a back-screen, allowing Ersan Ilyasova to coast, wide open, into the paint and catch a pass under the hoop.

But LeBron snapped to in time to catch Ilyasova, and then obliterate his layup attempt at the rim.
