Rockets' Ariza questionable Saturday with illness

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Rockets are no strangers to playing short-handed this season, and they may be further depleted Saturday.

Starting forward Trevor Ariza is questionable against the Phoenix Suns after missing morning shootaround due to illness.

With Dwight Howard (knee), Terrence Jones (collapsed lung) and Kostas Papanikolaou (ankle) all out, missing Ariza would further thin out Houston's frontcourt.

In better news, veteran guard Jason Terry is probable for Saturday's game after a hamstring injury sidelined him for the last two games.

Ariza, one of only two Rockets (along with Donatas Motiejunas) to suit up for all 68 games this season, is averaging 12.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.9 steals in over 35 minutes per game.
