Rockets' Terry out again Thursday with hamstring injury

Brett Davis / USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Rockets' bench will be a bit shorter again on Thursday against the Denver Nuggets, as veteran guard Jason Terry will sit out for a second straight game.

Terry, who's battling a hamstring injury, did say that he'll be good to go against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday, however.

The 37-year-old, 16-year veteran is averaging 6.7 points, 1.9 assists and 1.6 rebounds in his first season with the Rockets.

Terry has seen his shooting bounce back after a tough year in Brooklyn, posting a 41-38-80 shooting line in over 20 minutes per game off the Houston bench. His true shooting percentage of 56.9 is his best mark in six years.

Terry is in the final year of a contract that pays him over $5.8 million this season.

Pablo Prigioni and potentially K.J. McDaniels could see additional time against the Nuggets.
