DeMarcus Cousins: (Calf) Out Wednesday

Cousins (calf) will not play against the Clippers on Wednesday, Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee reports.

Analysis:

Despite being listed as out with a calf strain, Cousins is likely being held out for maintenance purposes. He recently expressed that he may rest periodically down the stretch, as he's dealing with a number of minor ailments and the Kings are well out of playoff contention. Jason Thompson will likely get the start in Cousins' place, and Cousins should be considered questionable to play Friday against the Hornets.
