Report: Crawford to miss at least 10 more days, Clippers to give Robinson another 10-day deal

Reigning Sixth Man of the Year and leading NBA bench scorer Jamal Crawford is still dealing with a right calf contusion and is expected to miss at least another 10 days, according to ESPN's Arash Markazi.

Crawford showed up to the arena for the Clippers' Sunday game against the Houston Rockets, but was visibly limping and ultimately had to be driven to the locker room door, according to a separate report by Markazi.

Clippers head coach Doc Rivers admitted Crawford's condition hasn't improved during his hiatus, which has cost him six games as of Monday.

The Clippers are just 2-5 without Crawford this season, and playing Austin Rivers heavy minutes isn't a recipe for success in the Western Conference. As a result, the team will reportedly give point guard Nate Robinson a second 10-day contract. The five-foot-nine veteran has played in five games for the Clippers, averaging four points on 24.1-percent shooting in 14.6 minutes.

In 60 games this season, Crawford is averaging 16.4 points and 2.5 assists, and while his shooting percentages (40.1 from the floor, 33.3 from 3-point range) leave something to be desired, his free-throw rate is the highest of his career, and his per-36 scoring average of 21.9 is second only to Griffin among Clippers.
