Headband-less LeBron ties Cavs' assist record in win over Suns
It wasn't so much that the Cleveland Cavaliers played great on Saturday - they didn't. It's just the Phoenix Suns were bad.
The Cavs won 89-79 despite Phoenix finally getting their act together in the fourth quarter and outscoring Cleveland 27-9 in the final frame. It wasn't anywhere near enough - the Suns shot sub-30 percent through three quarters and trailed by as much as 30 points.
As for the Cavaliers, the duo of LeBron James and Kyrie Irving shot a combined 9-for-27 on the night, but teamed with Kevin Love to play some pretty basketball like this:
James' eight assists tied him with Mark Price's Cavaliers' franchise career assist record of 4,206.

He added 17 points and six rebounds. James, who admonished himself on Friday for a season-high in turnovers against the Atlanta Hawks, made a slight adjustment in the second quarter Saturday: He took his headband off.

The Cavs got their most solid performances from their bigs, with Timofey Mozgov dropping a game-high 19 points and Tristan Thompson scoring 15 and grabbing 12 rebounds. Love went for 13 and 10, with all of his field goals coming on three-pointers.
The victory was Cleveland's 13th straight at home.
