Dallas Mavericks (40-22) at Portland Trail Blazers (40-19), 10:30 p.m. (ET)

(SportsNetwork.com) - The Portland Trail Blazers will try to extend their winning streak to five games Thursday when the Dallas Mavericks visit the Moda Center.

The first two wins in Portland's run came at home, but the last two were on the road. Three of the Blazers victories during this winning streak came against playoff-bound teams, including Wednesday's thrilling win.

The Trail Blazers knocked off the Los Angeles Clippers, 98-93, in overtime at the Staples Center.

LaMarcus Aldridge led the way for the Blazers with 29 points and nine rebounds.

The Blazers stormed back from a 10-point deficit with less than three minutes left in regulation and Nicolas Batum took over in the final minute of the extra session.

Aldridge threw down an alley-oop pass from Batum to break a 93-93 tie with 59 ticks to go and Batum blocked J.J. Redick on a drive to the hoop at the other end. The Frenchman then sealed the outcome with a straightaway triple with 21.1 ticks left.

Batum finished with 20 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. Damian Lillard missed his first 12 shots from the field before tallying his first basket with 3:04 to go in OT. Lillard posted just five points, but pulled down a career-high 18 boards for the Blazers.

After Redick and Arron Afflalo traded baskets inside of a minute of regulation, Redick was off the mark on a foul line jumper with 33.9 seconds to play. Redick then gambled for a steal and Batum, who was left wide open along the left wing, potted the 3-pointer to tie the game at 87-87 with 26.1 seconds to go.

LA's Chris Paul had a decent look late, but missed. DeAndre Jordan corralled the offensive rebound, but inexplicably, held the ball instead of shooting it with. 7 seconds left.

"I was surprised to be wide open to tie the game. We found a way to make big plays at the end," Batum said.

The Mavs snapped a two-game losing streak on Monday with a 102-93 home win over the New Orleans Pelicans.

Monta Ellis and Rajon Rondo combined for 39 points as the Mavericks ended the Pelicans' five-game winning streak. Ellis scored 20 and Rondo added 19 in a balanced scoring attack for Dallas, which shot 48 percent from the field.

Richard Jefferson checked in with 16 points, Dirk Nowitzki finished with 14 points and eight rebounds, and Amar'e Stoudemire and Devin Harris netted 14 apiece for the victors.

The Pelicans did not have Anthony Davis, and without the All-Star center, the Mavs won the battle in the paint, 50-24. Dallas also only turned the ball over seven times and forced 13 turnovers.

"I think we started off the game the right way with driving and getting to the basket, and the guys off the bench just came in and kept that pace going," Jefferson said.

Dallas was without Tyson Chandler (ankle) and Chandler Parsons (ankle). Chandler is listed as probable for Thursday, while Parsons is listed as out.

The Mavericks start a three-game western swing Thursday with stops against the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers on the docket.

The teams have split two meetings this season with the host prevailing. They will do battle in Dallas later this season.
