Mavs' Parsons to miss 6th straight game Thursday

Jerome Miron / USA TODAY Sports

The Dallas Mavericks will have to make do without small forward Chandler Parsons once again when they take on the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday.

Parsons has been ruled out for the sixth consecutive game, as he continues to recover from a sprain and bone bruise in his left ankle.

Parsons is traveling with the Mavericks on their current three-game road swing, so there remains some hope that he'll be able to return for either Friday's game against the Golden State Warriors or Sunday's against the Los Angeles Lakers

Parsons is averaging 15.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in his first season in Dallas.

Meanwhile, there appears to be a good chance the Mavs will get their other Chandler back, as center Tyson Chandler is listed as probable for Thursday's game after missing the past three with a hip injury.
