Sacramento Kings (21-37) at San Antonio Spurs (36-23), 8:30 p.m. (ET)

(SportsNetwork.com) - The San Antonio Spurs are back in the Alamo City and enjoyed a nice break following their annual Rodeo trip.

The Spurs will begin a six-game homestand Wednesday versus the Sacramento Kings and were last in action Saturday against the Phoenix Suns, posting a lopsided 101-74 victory.

Kawhi Leonard scored 22 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, while Danny Green, Boris Diaw and Aron Baynes posted 12 points apiece. The Suns set a franchise low for scoring in a half (24) and were on pace for record lows in points and shooting percentage before San Antonio eased off in the fourth quarter.

"I take pride in every aspect of my game, but I was out there trying to pick up energy for my team," said Leonard, whose team is 27-14 with him in the lineup. "I guess the energy carried on through everybody."

San Antonio ended the third quarter with a 75-41 advantage.

Tim Duncan ended with six points and 10 boards for the Spurs, who went 4-5 on the road trip and scored 44.6 percent from the floor. San Antonio also had a 56-42 advantage in rebounds.

Duncan moved into 12th place in NBA history for games played, passing Buck Williams with his 1,308th career contest.

The Spurs have won eight of their last nine home games and are 20-7 at the AT&T Center this season. They will also entertain Denver, Chicago, Toronto, Cleveland and Minnesota on the stay.

Sacramento kicked off an eight-game odyssey with Tuesday's 124-86 demolition of the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, as Rudy Gay led six players in double figures with 25 points.

DeMarcus Cousins returned from a two-game absence because of ankle and hip ailments to post 22 points and 10 rebounds, and Ben McLemore scored 20 points for the Kings, who shot 49.4 percent from the floor and had a 35-19 lead after the first quarter. The Kings scored 100 points over the first three quarters and led by as many as 44.

"Those guys play hard no matter what the scoreboard is," said Gay. "We came in with the mentality that we couldn't let them get into the game."

The Kings, who are playing the third eight-game road trip in the Sacramento era, improved to 8-18 as the visitor and halted a four-game road losing streak. They still have visits to Orlando, Miami, Atlanta, Charlotte, Philadelphia and Washington on the docket.

Kings coach George Karl is 3-3 since taking over during All-Star weekend.

Sacramento has won five of its last 21 games overall, but has dropped two of three meetings with San Antonio this season. San Antonio is 23-2 in its last 25 games versus Sacramento and unbeaten in the previous five at home.
