Cavs' Irving, Love will play Tuesday against Celtics

Mark L. Baer-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Cavaliers will be at full strength when they take on the Boston Celtics on Tuesday.

Point guard Kyrie Irving, who has been suffering from a right shoulder strain, will return from a two-game absence.

The Cavaliers are 1-4 without Irving on the season, speaking to the drop-off from him to Matthew Dellavedova at the point. LeBron James is obviously the team's most important player, but the team's been at their terrifying best when James and Irving take the floor together, outscoring opponents by 11.3 points per-100 possessions.

In 56 games, Irving is averaging 21.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.5 steals, shooting 46.4 percent from the field and 40.4 percent on threes while playing the eighth-most minutes in the league.

Kevin Love was in question, but he will suit up on Tuesday. Love missed shootaround on Tuesday with an illness. In 58 games, Love is averaging 17 points and 10.2 rebounds, shooting 35.4 percent from outside.
