Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

Earl Barron's reign as The King of the 10-day Contract is about as long as Sobhuza II's at this point.

The Phoenix Suns have signed Barron to a second 10-day contract. Barron was originally signed to a 10-day deal on Feb. 21 and has appeared in five games for the Suns, scoring eight points and grabbing four rebounds in 28 minutes.

The Suns are Barron's seventh NBA team in eight seasons over the last 10 years. He's never played more than 46 games in a season and hasn't spent more than 12 games with a team since 2007-08, instead floating around the league on short-term deal after short-term deal. In 129 career games, he's averaged 4.8 points and 3.6 rebounds in 14.5 minutes, shooting 37.6 percent from the floor.

A 7-foot center out of Memphis, Barron doesn't block shots particularly well but he can rebound and is familiar with the team, having joined them for training camp.

Before signing with Phoenix, Barron was playing in the D-League, averaging 20.3 points and 10.9 rebounds. Over his 10-year pro career, h'es had four D-League stints and spent time in Turkey, the Philippines, Italy and Puerto Rico.
