Gearing up for the stretch run, in which they hope to consolidate their hold on a Western Conference playoff spot and make some noise as a dangerous low seed in the postseason, the Oklahoma City Thunder are aiming for a new look.

The Thunder announced Sunday that they'll wear a new alternate uniform for their final four Sunday home games of the regular season, beginning on March 8 against the Toronto Raptors.

It seems the NBA is dead-set on plowing ahead with its unfortunate sleeved-jersey campaign, even in the face of poor sales records and fervent opposition.

As such, the new Thunder duds are ... well, duds.

"We're excited to tell the story of our team, our fans and our hometown with this new alternate uniform," said Brian Byrnes, the Thunder's senior vice president of Sales and Marketing.

"We believe the uniform embodies the spirit of this city, with simple and forward-looking design elements that showcase the three letters that resonate in our arena and have come to represent our team and our community: OKC."
