Raptors give struggling Lowry night off against Knicks

NEW YORK (AP) The Toronto Raptors gave struggling All-Star guard Kyle Lowry the night off Saturday against the New York Knicks.

Lowry had just four points on 1-for-7 shooting Friday night in the Raptors' 113-89 home loss to Golden State, going without an assist for the first time since Oct. 31, 2009, and the first time ever as starter.

The point guard is shooting under 30 percent in five games since the break and with the 6-foot-1 Lowry perhaps a little banged up, coach Dwane Casey said before the game he would try to find a spot to get him some rest.

Greivis Vasquez started in Lowry's place.
