Cleveland Cavaliers (37-22) at Indiana Pacers (23-34), 7 p.m. (ET)

(SportsNetwork.com) - The Cleveland Cavaliers are the hottest team in the NBA and they'll try to continue their fine form Friday night when they visit the Indiana Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The Cavs have won four straight and 18 of their last 20. The only two losses during this stretch came in Chicago and in Indianapolis, where the Cavs fell on Feb. 6.

On Thursday, LeBron James served notice to the association that his name belongs in the hat for MVP consideration. The four-time winner recorded a season-high 42 points with 11 rebounds and five assists as the Cavs continued their hot play with a 110-99 win over the Golden State Warriors at the Q.

Cleveland dropped a 112-94 decision against Golden State in early January that was the fourth loss of a season-high six-game losing streak.

James did not play in that game and it proved to be a huge difference in the rematch.

Kyrie Irving chipped in 24 points and Kevin Love posted 16 points and eight rebounds in the win.

"When LeBron is getting it going like that, it is definitely tough for any opposing defense," Irving said. "I was a fan tonight, as I am every night when playing with all these guys. It was definitely something special what he put on tonight especially against the best team in the league."

Irving injured his shoulder and is listed as doubtful for Friday's game at Indiana. He didn't travel with the team to Indianapolis and will undergo an MRI on Friday.

Timofey Mozgov had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Cleveland. Tristan Thompson chipped in 12 off the bench.

The Cavs travel to Houston on Sunday to complete this minor road trip.

The Pacers had a three-game winning streak snapped last time out in a 105-92 road loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday.

Indiana couldn't contain Russell Westbrook, who recorded a triple-double before the start of the fourth quarter.

C.J. Miles scored 15 of his 21 in the third quarter and George Hill chipped in 13 points and eight assists for Indiana, which defeated Golden State at home on Sunday.

The biggest news to come from the Pacers this week was that All-Star wingman Paul George made it through a full practice on Thursday. He suffered a gruesome leg break while playing with USA Basketball this summer.

"I've got LeBron tomorrow," he said.

George was kidding and there is no timetable for a return, although he referenced mid-March as a possibility.

"A long ways away," said George. "Still have some steps and some hurdles to overcome, but that's still a goal of mine."

These teams have split two meetings this season with the home team holding court. They will meet March 20 in Cleveland, but the Pacers have won nine straight over their Central rivals in Indiana.
