DeMarcus Cousins: (Ankle) Doubtful Friday

Cousins (ankle/hip) is doubtful for Friday's game against the Spurs.

Analysis:

With Cousins likely to miss a game for the first time since Jan. 17, the Kings may need heavy minutes from the likes of Jason Thompson and Reggie Evans. Other candidates to benefit include Ryan Hollins and Carl Landry, the two of whom combined for just three minutes in Wednesday's surprising win over the Grizzlies. Rudy Gay will likely take a ton of shots in Friday's game, despite drawing a tough matchup with a team that has Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green on the wing. As for Cousins, the superstar big man is apparently dealing with a bruised hip, in addition to the sprained ankle that was previously reported.
