Isaiah Thomas takes dig at Dragic: 'The guy that complained, you seen it in the media'

Fairly or unfairly, new Boston Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas garnered something of a reputation in his first two NBA stops - with the Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns - as someone other players don't love playing with.

Thomas is a high-usage guy who dominates the ball, and probably falls into the stigmatized category of "shoot-first point guards." But he also was mired in dysfunction in Sacramento, and was brought into a stuffed backcourt in Phoenix. It would be reductive to make him the scapegoat for any resulting malcontent.

In any event, when fellow point guard Goran Dragic forced his way out of Phoenix while citing the fact that the ball was being taken out of his hands, Thomas seemed written in the subtext.

It didn't help that the Suns publicly declared their desire to trade him instead of Dragic, in the event it came down to a choice. (They ultimately ended up trading both.)

Back in Phoenix to play the Suns on Monday just four days after being traded, Thomas had some words for anyone trying to pin Dragic's departure on him.

Thomas scored 21 points in his Celtics debut Sunday, but was ejected in the fourth quarter after picking up a second technical foul, and his team fell to the Los Angeles Lakers in overtime.
