Hinrich won't play Monday for Bulls

Matt Marton / USA Today Sports

The Chicago Bulls will be without Kirk Hinrich for a second straight game Monday as the guard battles a virus, per Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago.

Hinrich is listed as out against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Flu season in the Midwest seems to be just the latest challenge for the 12-year veteran. Hinrich had just returned to action on Friday after a three-game absence due to turf toe. Prior to that, the Kansas product missed time at the end of December with a hamstring strain.

The 34-year-old still remains a useful part of the Bulls' backcourt rotation, even with career lows in minutes (26.8) and points (6.8).
