Raptors' Lou Williams out with ankle sprain

Tom Szczerbowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Toronto Raptors will be a man down for a tough assignment against the Houston Rockets on the second night of a back-to-back.

Guard Lou Williams is out Saturday due to a left ankle sprain, the team announced.

Williams appeared to be fine Friday when he torched his former Atlanta Hawks team for 26 points while hitting a career-high seven 3-pointers in Toronto's 105-80 blowout victory. He apparently turned his ankle in the second half of the win.

The 10th-year guard has been a key reserve for the Atlantic Division-leading Raptors this season, averaging a career-high 15.4 points and 1.9 3-pointers in 24.6 minutes.
