Butler plans to play in Sunday's All-Star Game

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Chicago Bulls swingman Jimmy Butler is - by all accounts - enjoying his first All-Star experience, and he hopes to see some minutes on Sunday at Madison Square Garden.

Butler strained his right shoulder on Tuesday against the Sacramento Kings and sat out the Bulls' last pre-break game on Thursday. The 25-year-old is having the best season of his career, hitting highs in points, rebounds and assists.

Butler told Nekesa Mumbi Moody of the Associated Press he brought his brothers to New York with him to enjoy the festivities, and that a Prince concert ranks as a highlight so far.
