Wizards' Humphries leaves game, will not return

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Kris Humphries of the Washington Wizards left Monday's game against the Orlando Magic after falling and bruising his lower back. He will not return, the team confirmed.

Humphries is playing 22 minutes a game at power forward in his first year with the Wizards, averaging 8.2 points and 6.9 rebounds, which is second on the team. He's started 16 games this season, although many of those came when Nene was injured.

The Kim Kardashian ex has played in 51 of Washington's 52 games so far this season, and if he's on the shelf for an extended period it will present a depth issue for the Wiz. The team isn't flush with bench bigs beyond Humphries; outside of Kevin Seraphin the Wizards have Drew Gooden and DeJuan Blair on the roster, but neither has seen much action this season.
