Grizzlies' Carter to have torn tendon reevaluated after All-Star break

Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

Vince Carter's rehab from a torn tendon in his left foot is progressing as normal, but he remains out indefinitely.

The veteran swingman will be reevaluated after the All-Star break, according to Rob Fischer of FOX Sports.

Carter has been out since Jan. 29 and has elected rehab over surgery, but it's unclear how much that will help speed up his recovery.

The Grizzlies inked the 38-year-old to a three-year, $12-million deal in the offseason after Carter's successful run in a reserve role with the Dallas Mavericks. But Carter has struggled in with Memphis, averaging six points on 33.4 percent shooting from the field in 16.6 minutes.
