Wade out again Monday with hamstring strain

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Heat will be without Dwyane Wade for Monday's contest against the New York Knicks.

Wade, who was listed as questionable earlier on Monday, will miss a sixth straight game with a hamstring strain. Head coach Erik Spoelstra added that Wade remains day-to-day.

Miami has lost four of its last five games and dropped three straight to fall to eighth place in the Eastern Conference. Following four straight Finals appearances, Miami is in jeopardy of missing the playoffs for the first time since 2007-08.

Hamstring issues have forced Wade to miss 15 games after sitting out 28 contests last season. The Heat have gone 6-9 without the 11-time All-Star.

Wade is averaging a team-high 21.4 points and 5.4 assists in a career-low 32.3 minutes.
