Nelson is still battling some soreness with the Achilles that first surfaced in Tuesday's loss to Philadelphia. With the Nuggets not even waiting until the start of morning shootaround to rule Nelson out, it would seem he's not progressing as quickly as hoped from the injury. His absence leaves Randy Foye and Erick Green as the top backups at point guard behind starter Ty Lawson. Nelson's next chance to play will come Monday against the Thunder.
