Jason Richardson targeting Feb. 20 return for 76ers

Bill Streicher / USA Today Sports

The long-awaited return of Jason Richardson will apparently have to wait until after the All-Star break.

The one-time high-flyer, who hasn't played an NBA game in more than two years due to left knee surgery and a right foot fracture, was hoping to return to the Philadelphia 76ers before the break to finish out the final season of his four-year, $24-million contract.

He's now targeting the first game afterwards, a Feb. 20 home date against the Indiana Pacers, according to Tom Moore of The Intelligencer

Richardson, 34, averaged 10.5 points and 3.8 rebounds in 33 games for the 76ers during the 2012-13 season. He's averaged 17.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists across 12 professional seasons with five NBA teams.

He's currently the Sixers' highest-paid player.
