Damian Lillard snubs Skills Challenge after being left off All-Star Game roster

Mark J. Rebilas / USA Today Sports

Damian Lillard appears to be holding a grudge.

After his surprising omission from the Western Conference All-Star team, the Portland Trail Blazers' point guard has withdrawn from the annual All-Star Weekend Skills Challenge, which he's won the last two years, according to Shams Charania of RealGM

Lillard was ubiquitous at All-Star Weekend last year, participating in not only the Skills Challenge, but also in the Rising Stars game, Slam Dunk contest, 3-point shootout and, of course, the All-Star Game itself.

Despite improving on last season virtually across the board, Lillard found himself the odd man out in the Western Conference's overloaded crop of guards. He said before the All-Star reserves were announced that he'd be pissed off if he didn't make it, and said afterwards that he was taking the snub personally

Maybe this is his way of showing it. Or maybe he's just taking the opportunity to get a week of rest and recharge his battery for the stretch run.
