J.J. Redick: (Back) Sidelined Wednesday

Redick won't take the floor Wednesday at Utah due to back spasms, the Orange County Register reports.

Analysis:

Back issues have been a recurring problem throughout Redick's career, including 35 DNPs last season. As a result, the current injury concern should be watched closely in the coming days to learn of its extent. In his stead, Jamal Crawford could pick up a few extra minutes, and may in fact start at shooting guard, but Austin Rivers could be the largest beneficiary of Redick's absence.
