Timberwolves' Mo Williams out Wednesday for personal reasons

The Minnesota Timberwolves will be without resident 52-point scorer Mo Williams on Wednesday when they host the Boston Celtics.
Williams will miss the game to attend the funeral of a late mentor, according to Jon Krawczynski of The Associated Press.
The 32-year-old point guard is averaging 12.5 points and 6.4 assists per game this season, but has slumped badly during the Timberwolves' recent five-game losing streak, shooting just 28.3 percent from the floor and 20.8 percent from deep.
Rookie and All-Star Weekend double-invitee Zach LaVine, who'll soon compete in both the Slam Dunk contest and the Rising Stars Challenge, is expected to start in Williams' stead.
