Walker (knee) underwent successful surgery Wednesday to repair a torn left meniscus. He's expected to miss a minimum of six weeks.

Analysis:

As expected, Walker will miss at least a month-and-a-half of action, and he should be expected back in early-to-mid-March. Walker is the Hornets' leader in scoring, assists and steals and had scored 20 or more point sin 14 of his last 21 contests. Brian Roberts will step in as the interim starting point guard in Walker's absence, though the team could look to find an upgrade via trade.
