Boston Celtics (16-27) at Minnesota Timberwolves (7-37), 8 p.m. (ET)

(SportsNetwork.com) - The Boston Celtics will polish off a successful road trip Wednesday night when they visit the Target Center to face the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Celtics are 3-2 on this trek with wins over the Portland Trail Blazers, Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz. The setbacks came at the hands of the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors, so no shame in that.

After a three-point loss to those Warriors on Sunday, the Celtics rebounded with a 99-90 win over the Utah Jazz Monday night.

Tayshaun Prince's 19 points off the bench and a huge second quarter helped carry the C's. The 34-year-old veteran went 7-of-10 from the field in his highest output since joining the Celtics in a trade earlier this month, while helping his new team outscore Utah 38-14 during a dominant second quarter.

"He made us better today and he's made us better with his presence already," said Celtics head coach Brad Stevens. "It's been fun, for our young guys too, to have another older guy to lean on and learn from."

Boston built a 55-31 halftime lead, then held off a Jazz comeback attempt down the stretch. Tyler Zeller had 14 for Boston, followed by 12 apiece out of Avery Bradley and Jared Sullinger.

The Celtics play four of their next five in Boston.

The Timberwolves have lost five in a row and that mark is worse at home. Minnesota has dropped 10 straight as the host with its last victory at the Target Center on Dec. 10 against the Blazers.

On Monday, the T-wolves fell to the Oklahoma City Thunder, 92-84, in OKC.

The Thunder were without reigning MVP Kevin Durant, who sat with a sprained toe. It didn't matter as Serge Ibaka and Russell Westbrook shouldered the load.

Thaddeus Young posted 22 points and eight boards, Andrew Wiggins provided 23 points and Gorgui Dieng snatched 18 rebounds for Minnesota. Zach LaVine chipped in 11 off the bench.

"We played a solid game, we just have to have those extra plays," Young said.

The T-wolves did play a solid game. They held the Thunder to under 42 percent shooting and 20 percent from long range. OKC committed 16 turnovers to just 13 from the Timberwolves.

Minny shot 34.1 percent from the field and 2-for-13 from beyond the 3-point line.

The Celtics defeated the Timberwolves by 16 in Boston on Dec. 19. The C's have won two straight and are 13-2 in their last 15 in this series. The T-wolves' only two victories versus the Celtics since 2007 did come in the last two games in Minnesota.
