Detroit Pistons (17-29) at Philadelphia 76ers (8-37), 7 p.m. (ET)
(SportsNetwork.com) - The Philadelphia 76ers will try to halt a six-game losing streak Wednesday night when the Detroit Pistons pay a visit to the Wells Fargo Center.
The Sixers haven't won since Jan. 16 at home against the New Orleans Pelicans. They have dropped two straight as the host and with this recent slide, the 76ers have fallen back into a tie for the worst record in the Eastern Conference with the New York Knicks.
On Monday, the Sixers fell to those same Pelicans, 99-74, in New Orleans.
There were two major differences in the game almost two weeks ago and Monday's. First, the Pelicans didn't have Anthony Davis in Philly and did in the Big Easy. Davis scored 32 points in the Pelicans' win.
"He's a stud," said Sixers coach Brett Brown. "He's one of those rare cornerstones you can build all around. He's just one of the elite players in the league."
The other was that Sixers' guard Michael Carter-Williams missed Monday's loss with an illness.
K.J. McDaniels had 16 points off the bench to lead the Sixers Monday. Henry Sims and Luc Mbah a Moute scored 14 points apiece for Philadelphia, while Jerami Grant managed 10 off the bench.
The Sixers will host the Minnesota Timberwolves on this mini homestand.
Detroit has dropped three straight and three in a row on the road.
On Tuesday, the rut reached three with a 103-95 home loss to the smoking-hot Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Pistons couldn't contain Cleveland's star players - LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. The pair, the only double-figure scorers for the Cavs - totaled 70 points on Tuesday.
Greg Monroe posted 17 points and 12 rebounds, while D.J. Augustin provided 19 points and nine helpers for the Pistons. Andre Drummond tallied 12 points and 17 boards.
Anthony Tolliver chipped in 16 off the bench, followed by 11 out of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Jodie Meeks.
"For the most part I thought their defensive pressure and quickness gave us some pressure," Detroit coach Stan Van Gundy said.
The Pistons lost the turnover battle 18-9 and only shot 33.3 percent from long range.
Detroit returns home Saturday to host the Houston Rockets then finishes the stay at The Palace of Auburn Hills on Tuesday against the Miami Heat.
The Sixers and Pistons have split two meetings this season, both of which came in Motown. The two will meet once again in Philadelphia on March 18. The 76ers are 4-2 in their last six as the host in this series.
