Brooklyn Nets (18-26) at Atlanta Hawks (37-8), 8 p.m. (ET)

(SportsNetwork.com) - A franchise-record 16-game winning streak has the Atlanta Hawks on the cusp of matching last season's win total of 38.

The Eastern Conference-leading Hawks will put their victorious reputation on the line Wednesday versus the Brooklyn Nets in the continuation of a seven- game homestand at Philips Arena.

Atlanta is 4-0 on the homestand and last played in Sunday's 112-100 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, as Paul Millsap scored 20 points and Al Horford added 19. The frontcourt duo has been playing well of late. Horford is posting 18.0 points in his last seven games and Millsap is averaging 18.5 ppg in his previous four.

"We're playing good basketball. It's exciting," Horford said.

Jeff Teague had 15 points and seven assists, and needs six assists for 2,000 in his career. DeMarre Carroll netted 14 points and Kyle Korver buried 4-of-8 3-pointers en route to 13 points for the Hawks, who shot 56.3 percent from the field and scored 21 points off 17 Minnesota Turnovers.

The Hawks sport a 30-2 record since late November and are unbeaten in the past seven at home with a 20-3 mark as the host. They are 29 games above .500 for the first time since a 56-26 record at the end of 1996-97 and will also host Portland and Philadelphia on the stay.

Atlanta is first in opponents' scoring (96.2 ppg) and sixth with 103.4 ppg.

Brooklyn was scheduled to play the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday, but a winter storm forced the league to postpone the event. The contest has been rescheduled for April 6.

The Nets went 1-2 on a recent western road trip and dropped a 108-73 decision to the Utah Jazz Saturday in Salt Lake City.

Jarrett Jack scored 16 points and Mason Plumlee added 11 points. No other Nets player scored in double figures.

The Nets lost for the 10th time in 12 tries.

"We just need a win, man," said Brooklyn's Mason Plumlee. "Collectively we need to put more into the game effort wise. It's not really a strategic thing anymore, we just need to give more."

Brooklyn has dropped two straight on the road and has a 10-12 record as the visitor this season. It will host Toronto and the LA Clippers next.

The Hawks took the first of four meetings with the Nets by a 98-75 score on Dec. 5 at Barclays Center, as Carroll and Millsap scored 18 and 17 points, respectively. Atlanta and Brooklyn will meet again April 4 and 8.

Atlanta has won two straight against Brooklyn after losing four of the previous five matchups between the East inhabitants.
