Grizzlies' Tony Allen sidelined with ankle injury

Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

The Memphis Grizzlies will be shorthanded for Monday's game against the reeling Orlando Magic, who have lost five consecutive contests.

Tony Allen is suffering from a left ankle sprain and is unavailable. He's considered day-to-day.

Jeff Green will likely start in his place on the wing alongside Courtney Lee, as the Grizzlies look to extend their winning streak to three games. Green has started the Grizzlies' last two games, and is averaging 13.8 points and four rebounds in six contests since Memphis acquired him from the Boston Celtics as part of a three-team deal.

Allen's next chance to play will come Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks
