Brooklyn Nets (18-25) at Utah Jazz (15-28), 9 p.m. (ET)
(SportsNetwork.com) - The Brooklyn Nets will put the finishing touches on a three-game western jaunt Saturday against the Utah Jazz.
The Nets defeated the Sacramento Kings to open the trek on Wednesday, then suffered a 123-84 blowout loss to the Los Angeles Clippers Thursday night.
Mason Plumlee led the Nets with 16 points and Jerome Jordan provided 11 points and 11 rebounds off the bench for his first career double-double. Darius Morris scored 11 points in a reserve role for Brooklyn, which trailed 70-37 at halftime and shot 37.5 percent from the field.
"Glad it's over," Nets coach Lionel Hollins said. "We have to compete and play together. Give them some credit for some of our problems."
Nets forward Mirza Teletovic was taken to a local Los Angeles hospital at halftime with blood clots in his lungs and is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
Brooklyn, which has held 10 of the past 14 opponents under 100 points, has dropped nine of its last 11 games and is 10-11 on the road. The Nets will host the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday.
The Jazz will play their next four games in Salt Lake City versus Brooklyn, Boston, LA Clippers and Golden State, and are 7-12 at home.
Utah went 1-2 on a recent road trip, which culminated with Thursday's 101-99 triumph at Milwaukee. Gordon Hayward led all scorers with 24 points in addition to six rebounds, six assists and two steals. Hayward had 13 points in the fourth quarter alone.
Enes Kanter had 23 points and 16 rebounds, while rookie Dante Exum added a season-best 15 points.
"We played with a pass more tonight than we have recently. And it's not an accident in my mind that we made more (3-pointers), because those passes and the ball movement take some pressure off our shooters. If there's one thing I'm most pleased with tonight, that's it," Jazz coach Quin Snyder said.
Jazz forward Derrick Favors was not with the team due to personal reasons and is questionable Saturday. Favors is posting 15.9 points and 8.6 rebounds.
The Jazz are 2-5 in their previous seven games and 8-12 against teams from the Eastern Conference (2-6 at home).
Utah and Brooklyn will play the first of two matchups and are scheduled to meet again March 8 at Barclays Center. The Nets took both games against the Jazz last season after losing the previous four contests in this series.
