Raptors' Valanciunas to play through sore calf

Howard Smith / USA TODAY Sports

Jonas Valanciunas will play through a sore left calf Friday when the Toronto Raptors take on the Philadelphia 76ers, the team announced

Valanciunas, who didn't miss any time with the injury, will join a starting five that features Greivis Vasquez at shooting guard for the third consecutive game.

The third-year center is averaging 12.6 points on 55.1 percent shooting from the field with 8.6 rebounds in 26.3 minutes per game.

Philadelphia will be without guard Tony Wroten, who's in jeopardy of missing the remainder of the season with a partially torn ACL in his right knee.
