Fresh off the announcement of the All-Star Game starters, a busy Friday night in the NBA is on tap.
There are 22 teams in action and a number of marquee matchups in the 11-game slate, including the Chicago Bulls - on the second night of a back-to-back - traveling to Texas to take on the Dallas Mavericks.
Derrick Rose was finally in vintage form during Thursday's victory over the San Antonio Spurs, and will look to build off his strong performance against a Mavericks team riding a three-game winning streak.
Kevin Durant and the surging Oklahoma City Thunder, winners of four straight, have the task of trying to end the Atlanta Hawks' 14-game winning streak on the road. Atlanta, the Eastern Conference's top team, is 18-3 at home this season.
The Los Angeles Lakers will begin life without Kobe Bryant - who's expected to miss the remainder of the season with a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder - when they visit the Spurs, while the Houston Rockets head to the desert for a tough matchup against the Western Conference's No. 8 seed Phoenix Suns.
Phoenix has won four straight and 14 of its last 18 games.
The Golden State Warriors will close out the night against the Sacramento Kings and attempt to extend their franchise-best home winning streak to 18 games. Golden State set a team record when it won its 17th straight at Oracle Arena in a blowout of the Rockets on Wednesday.
